Gaffney High School Air Force JROTC (AFJROTC) is a course that provides
leadership education as a high-school class. AFJROTC prepares young adults
for their future lives with whatever they decide to do. The program instills the Air Force Core Values in each cadet so
that they carry themselves in an orderly and respected manner both in and
outside of school.
Integrity is doing the right thing in all circumstances. Cadets learn how to handle life
situations and make smarter decisions. Service Before Self is serving
others without thinking about how you will benefit or how you will be
affected. It's performing acts of kindness and respect. Our
program does just that with the unit's involvement in the SC Adopt-A-Highway
Program (2005 AND 2006 STATE CHAMPIONS), USMC Toys for Tots, Meals on Wheels,
marching in community parades, Volunteering time at nursing homes,
ushering at Friday night football games, and assisting community organizations.
Gaffney High School Air Force JROTC is EXCELLENT in all we do because we never cease
to meet a goal - we always exceed them! We never turn down a chance to
be anything less than the BEST! Our unit is strong, motivated
and determined. We represent Gaffney High, our Unit, and ourselves. We are ranked among the nation's top Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps.
With the Outstanding Instructor and Distinguished Unit for 5 years running, the THUNDERCHIEFS (SC-041 Cadet Corps) are one of the reasons why Gaffney High School has earned the reputation as
School of CHAMPIONS!
